Three Generations Of Homebuilders
Monarch Homes of Brevard is a family owned business that has its roots in three generations of homebuilders. The Monarch Homes team is led by Ed Fleis, who has over 50 years of experience as a civil engineer and general contractor.
Since 1980 Ed has built over 1,000 homes in Brevard County and has been involved with many popular communities and condominiums. His father, Ed Fleis Sr., was a home building contractor in Michigan during the 1950s and 1960s - an era when a builder made and installed everything in a new house.
The third generation of this family’s building legacy is Brian Fleis, a homebuilder, general contractor and environmental engineer who has built over 100 custom homes in Brevard County. He started in construction with the Walt Disney Company on projects in Orlando, California and Hong Kong.

The Family Behind Monarch Homes
Ed Fleis
A civil engineer (BS, Michigan Tech, 1963) with over 50 years of experience, Ed is Managing Member of Monarch Homes and Fleis Group, LLC, the developer of Capron Ridge. Since the mid-1980s he has built roughly 1,000 residences throughout Brevard County, including oceanfront and riverfront custom homes.
Brian Fleis
An environmental engineer (BS, University of Florida, 1995) and FGBC-certified Green Home Rater, Brian previously worked with the Walt Disney Co. in Orlando. He is directly involved in sales, building design and project management, ensuring green materials and methods throughout.
Peter Bush
With Monarch Homes since 2018, Peter brings years of home building and maintenance experience. He works on the finishing touches of each home, oversees quality control and provides ongoing support for any warranty needs.
